Bio

Dr. Alison Shea is an Associate Professor in both OB/ GYN and Psychiatry at McMaster University.  She is the Director of the Menopause Clinic at St. Joseph’s Healthcare in Hamilton.  Dr. Shea completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology and a clinical fellowship in Menopause and Reproductive Mental Health, at the University of Toronto. She is certified menopause practitioner through the Menopause Society (formerly NAMS North American Menopause Society) and is the Chair of the Examination Committee for the Menopause Society.  Dr Shea is also a board member for the Canadian menopause society.  You can follow her on Instagram for evidence-based information about menopause and hormone health.Her leadership roles, including her active membership on the Menopause Society Exam Review Committee and the Ontario Health Menopause Quality Standard Advisory Committee, demonstrate her influence and dedication to advancing women's health.
